Creamy, spicy, guacamole that you can make at home
Making your favorite foods at home doesn’t always have to take hours. Some recipes are easy and take less time to make than it does to order out. This homemade guacamole is one of those recipes. It’s quick, a little spicy, delicious, & really easy to make.
First, I started with ripe avocado. Sliced down the middle, discarded the seed, and chopped into chunks. I like to buy unripe avocado a few days before I need it and let it ripen on the countertop. By the time I need the avocado, it’s perfectly ripe.
After all the veggies are chopped I added them to my molcajete. A molcajete is basically the traditional mexican version of a mortal & pestle. I use it to grind spices for my homemade spice blends, to make salsa, and guacamole. If you don’t have a molcajete or mortal & pestle, use a fork or potato masher.
This guacamole took all of 15 minutes to make and kept for about 3 days. I added extra lime juice to the top and stored in a airtight container in the fridge. You have to try this! Comment below and tell me what you think!
