Naked fried wings coated in a sweet, spicy, sticky sauce
Ultimate Hot Honey Wings Recipe (Inspired by My Dad)
When I think of comfort food that feels like home, my dadโs hot honey wings are always at the top of the list. These wings are spicy, sticky, a little sweet, and completely addicting. And hereโs the twist: he always fried them nakedโno flour, no batterโjust seasoned chicken straight into hot oil until perfectly crispy. Then heโd glaze them in his signature hot honey sauce.
For years, I added my own spin to his recipe. But now that heโs gone, I make them exactly the way he did. Cooking his wings is more than just foodโitโs memory, tradition, and a way to stay connected to him.
Why Youโll Love These Hot Honey Wings
Crispy with no coating โ These fried chicken wings are flourless, making them lighter but still perfectly crisp.
Balanced flavors โ The honey gives sweetness, the chili brings heat, and together they create the perfect glaze.
Quick & easy โ No dredging, no batterโjust season, fry, and glaze.
A recipe with a story โ Food isnโt just about eating; itโs about memories. This recipe is one that carries my dadโs legacy.
Why This Recipe Means So Much
My dad used to make me these wings often because he knew they were my favorite. Over the years, Iโd play around with the recipe, adding my own twist. But now that heโs gone, I find comfort in making them exactly the way he did.
Thatโs the beautiful thing about foodโit carries memories. Every time I fry these wings, I feel connected to him again.
